I was going to write a post about why I’m opening this blog up again, but there are too many reasons. Perhaps, I will talk about them one day. But hopefully, they’ll become painfully obvious after I use this space some more. In the meantime, ponder this:

In Google Translate,

When you translate “he” from English to Bengali, the first translation offered is “তিনি”

When you translate “she” from English to Bengali, the first translation offered is “সে”

When you translate any third person pronoun from English to Bengali, if you get the correct translation, the first option is “he”

It made me wonder how the algorithm picked the best translation.

So these are just random things I’ve done as programming assignments. With spinning squares and trigonometric curves, and another random colour blending thing. Different outputs for three programs .

Unfortunately, the resolution’s a little messed up. And really these things aren’t a big deal. But they are pretty. Also, most of them look really meticulous. And programming makes them so easy. I love CS.
